I am finally getting around to sharing this amazing exhibit that was in the Meat Packing District over the early fall! The Great Elephant Migration is a traveling herd of 100 handcrafted life-sized Indian elephant sculptures that has been touring the country. They were spread across the Meatpacking District in Manhattan, New York City. It is a global fundraising adventure to amplify indigenous knowledge and inspire the human race.
The elephants were made by a community of 200 indigenous artisans in India for whom sharing space with animals is second nature. They were so amazing to walk around and see. I loved the baby elephants tucked in around their mamas and the power that the exhibit conveyed!Thursday, June 12, 2025
