The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 13

The Good:

We got to see Noam for a few hours over the weekend. He was in the city on his 8th grade trip and we took him out for lunch and a stroll in the park. 

The Random:

A book about challah in the Passover section at Home Goods...so close but so far.

The Fun:

It was 70 degrees for a few hours on Saturday and the whole city was in Central Park (seriously, it looked like it!). It was so fun to be out and about with all the people and all the dogs, including this man and his 6 Goldendoodles!

Of Many Minds

I took the ferry over to Jersey City to check out a set of amazing sculptures by artist Michael Alfano. The sculptures are all faces and heads crafted in amazing shapes and designs. 

They were all so gorgeous and unique. The backdrop of Lower Manhattan and the Hudson River really added to them, as if NYC is always on our minds....even in NJ!

The Red Squiggle

There’s a new public art installation on view in Union Square called Love Continuum is a 25-foot-long interactive sculpture by artist Yoni Alter. The sculpture captures the spirit of the universal emotion, showing how the very essence of love can look and feel different to anyone.

You are allowed to climb on the squiggle too! I love art in the city that is interactive - it truly invites the people into the work versus having them rush by while going about their day!

The Good:

I had a "wow" moment in the city over the weekend, realizing that I haven't seen the city this packed in over 5 years. I do believe that NYC is back after those COVID years! And to think that places like Grand Central were ghost towns 5 years ago is a little chilling...

The Random:

Got to love a cheeky farmer's market stall!

The Fun:

I have been loving the latest Hunger Games prequel! It's so fun to see more storylines connect as we learn more about those years before Katniss.
