This week kicked off with going to a Jewish music concert with a good friend. I grew up loving (well, still do!) these two performers and knew them from some Jewish conferences I used to attend as a teen. It was great to hear them live again and get to catch up after the show.
It was actually super great to get into a 5 day school routine too, although the kids only came 4 because we rounded out the week with a day of parent teacher conferences. We got a tone done though and my kids did super great on another math test, they make me proud!
I also had my first week of leading a "fastTrack" after school club. I have 3 kiddos in a little photography club. We spent the first session exploring with our cameras outside, as we move forward I have some fun themes planned to do with them. Should be fun for sure.
Highlight of the week: Getting to go to a Rick Recht and Sheldon Lowe concert - two of my favorite Jewish musicians. It was a really fun concert and fun night.
Favorite teaching moment: getting to have a great day of parent-teacher conferences, they all went well and it was amazing to share with the parents how well each child is doing and how far they have come!
Random-osity: I lost my favorite pen somewhere this week...I am sad to say that I really miss it and no other pen on my desk (there are SO many) compares to it...
Also! I'm working on growing the blog's facebook page - won't you please join me over there as well? I post a sampling of the random things around me and would love to connect there (here) too!

What an adorable idea to start a photography camera club with the students...you are a marvelous teacher my friend!!!
ReplyDeleteReally Great of you to start a photography club! :) Photography teaches us so much more than snapping a photo! <3 Have a wonderful DAY! :D
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others....how cool to share your interest in photography with kiddos.
ReplyDeleteI am really struggling for $$ at present and have been thinking of doing this for adults. Maybe seeking out kids would be great too, though I hate to take money for it.
Love those daffs. It's going to happen.
Hope you don't have to make up all those snow days. You'll be there until July. That did happen to me once and it was yucky. Hope it doesn't happen to you.
I'm so excited for your photography club! That is so awesome. You never know what great photographers will say that you awakened that desire in them!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh, that Photography Club sounds like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteYes! I am so crazy DONE with the snow. The temps are cold again today and more snow on the ground. It will melt off fast but SERIOUSLY! It is SNOWING right now as I am typing this, Urgh ! ! !
ReplyDeleteYour photos are fabulous! I love them. I am so glad I get to see your world via your camera and views.
(hug)
Ugh, I have favourite pens too and it´s always a bummer when they disappear! Great pics! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo enjoy hearing and seeing about your weeks. How fun that you are teaching new young photographers. Yes, I am sad when I lose a great pen. Hope you find it soon!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea -- to teach kids photography! I'm sure you do that with great enthusiasm. Glad you enjoy teaching. Praying you and all your friends and family are safe there tonight . . .
ReplyDeleteLooks like last week was a great full week. Love the shot of the chalk on the brick-great contrast in colors and the shadows of your little photographers. I bet that will be a fun club.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Rick Recht in concert and maybe Sheldon Low too, I forget. But I have cd's from both of them!
