Noam the book worm.

Avi and I were raised in a house where reading was special and loved. Mom read to us each night until we were in middle school and to this day books line the shelves in her house, and now mine. Now I get to watch Noam develop his own love of books and there can be nothing sweeter!

One day over Thanksgiving we looked over at Noam to see him sitting down reading a book, all by himself! He was flipping through "Doggies" and pointing out the "dundies" - he get's what reading is!
"Doggies" quickly became a Noam favorite. We read it again, and again. Nothing sweeter than Noam sitting in my lap while we read about the dogs and make our various barking sounds.
Noam loved showing everyone the doggies in his story and we all loved watching him engrossed in a book at such a tender age.
Eventually we moved onto "Moo, Baa, Lala" but it's clear that "Doggies" is a Noam favorite!
I can't wait to read many more books with Noam later this month!

Our boys loved those Sandra Boynton books! I volunteer at school quite a bit, and I can't even tell you what a huge difference it will make that you are already reading to him.

Oh my gosh! I love this : ) So beautiful. I mean, honestly, what is more important than reading? I can't think of a thing.

I'm with you - READ to your kids!! I started this when my kids were small little bits and I still read to them almost every night! my son, who is almost 10 gets so upset if we run out of time and he doesn't get a chapter read to him!!

That is so great - it´s so important to give them the chance to explore books. I love the expression on his cute face! :-)

Oh, gotta love a child who loves books! I so love the feeling of them sitting on my lap as we read. I still get to do with Z now, although she's getting a bit big now. :)

Super sweet pictures of you two bookworms!

I love that you have one unruly curl (well, only because if you DO, it means I'm not alone :)
