Snow in October?

It is October, right? Well it was a slight dud in my neighborhood, but it sure packed a punch for much of the state.  This was the forecast map early Saturday evening, I mean, really?
By dinner time, it was 34º, and snowing! Insane, I never expected to have to put together my full winter jacket before Halloween, but it is Massachusetts so you never know...
We woke up to really nothing more than a wet sloppy inch or so in the greater Boston/Brookline area.  I was mentally not ready to see cars blanketed in a layer of white, it was just weird!
The poor mums looked so chilly buried under the slush. I was just cold looking at them, but that also may have been because I was not wearing gloves or a hat and it was 34º...
I made my way to the main road to head to the gym. It was so quiet out, even quieter than usual on a Sunday. People were hunkered down inside staying warm or pinching themselves thinking it was a weird dream.
It is something else for sure to see such stunning leaves with a blanket of snow around them. Very odd indeed!
Alright New England, bring on winter, I think I'm ready...

It did look pretty but we got clobbered with downed trees and power lines. We got 6 inches.

What? Snow? Oh my. I am expecting a bit of snow here as well.

*Maybe I shouldn't say a "bit", lol.
Will see*.

When you say 34o, it's Fahrenheit, right? Wow, can't believe it's that cold already over where you are... and snowing, too!

Beautiful captures and bonus points to you for heading out to the gym on such a cold day! I would have headed to the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate!

I know just what you are saying! I couldn't believe it when the forcasters said it was coming. I didn't even wear real shoes when we went out on Saturday morning. I assumed it would stop. 12 inches later....I realized I was dead wrong. Thankfully the sun came out on Sunday : )
