Rudi's Review

Being gluten-free is getting easier. Granted, I try to not eat many carbs, but when I am in the mood, there are so many more options than 6 years ago when I had to give up gluten (wow, it's been a long time!)
The kind folks at Rudi's sent me their new wraps to try out. I was honestly shocked when I opened the box and the three different types of wraps were in the box, I was just expecting just one! They really lived up to my expectations!

First up, the plain wraps:
Yes, that is peanut butter and a banana on a tortilla. Yes, I have weird culinary tastes at time. But seriously, try it. This wrap stood up to the PB&banana! I had frozen the wraps when they arrived and after 20 seconds in the microwave it wasn't falling apart, it was soft and ready for the shmeer.  Biggest bonus? It wrapped without falling apart! The other gf wraps I've tried always fall apart or get hard and crusty after being nuked. So super good points to Rudi's!
They also have a fiesta wrap, with delicious herbs and spices. So I thought some fish tacos were the best way to test run this one!
I love me some fish tacos. I use the Trader Joe's fire roasted pepper blend which I saute up with garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, and chile powder (a little bit of that one). Then I sear up some tilapia (or mahi mahi) with the same spices on it. Then topped it all with a little peach and mango salsa (excuse the setting sun for making it look neon colored, it isn't). And again, it wrapped and didn't crumble! Su-weet!
Then there is the spinach wrap!
I had never had a spinach type wrap before and was excited to try it I paired it with some crumbled up falafel and salsa for a quick dinner and it was great. It smelled delicious as I got it out of the microwave and the flavor was mild, but present. Highly recommend!

Rudi's has 3 amazing hits here! I hope the local stores start stocking them soon so I can indulge more often!

Rudi's generously gave me these wraps to review but the crazy recipes and reviews are all my own!

Those look great- will have to find them. You know when we make enchiladas we layer paper towels in-between the tortillas for the microwave & they come out quite pliable & stretchy for rolling.

My sis in law and niece are gluten free. I'll mention Rudi's to them. That PB and banana looks quite good.

we may have to try these - I can't stand wraps because they always rip, tear or fall apart!
