So my first week around the sun for 2013! It was weird at first to adapt to now aiming for an actual photo for each day. Of course I have taken pics each day (can't help it), but not specifically trying to find one that captures that day was weird at first, you know?
So the week in review... I brought in 2013 "asleep" on an airplane, probably over the Idaho, on my way home from Portland. Therefore I spent much of New Year's day in an overtired heap on the couch... Then it was back to school on Wednesday, it was so great to see the kids and get back into the swing of things. Nothing too exciting, but it was nice to start the year off on an uneventful foot, I suppose.
Highlight of the week: getting back into the groove after vacation, having time off was great, but I am totally a creature of habit...
Favorite teaching moment: watching my math class be able to do some pretty tough number manipulation at one of the center's I designed for the week - I love seeing them take on a challenge and get it!
Random-osity: I'm really enjoying reading the book "House at Tyneford" right now - it's like Downton Abbey meets Upstairs Downstairs meets great book.
I found myself being drawn to light this week. Up here in Boston it gets dark by 4:30ish in winter and doesn't get completely light out until 7:30ish. So finding beautiful light is a wonderful surprise!

Ohh! Such beautiful light... I especially love the light streaming through the curtains. Gorgeous! Thanks for the invitation to participate AND for co-hosting P52-2013. Now, off to get ready for work.

Tamar! Oh good! I was in hopes you were doing it for several days. That all works according to what I have planned. Yay! I'll be back to 'blog hop' with y'all tomorrow.
I'm just so freakin' amazed I remembered your new meme! Love.
Thanks for hosting my friend. :)
Lovely week in photos. For some reason, I can't get that cute button to post. Wah! Happy week Tamar
Okay, I remember now you saying something about hosting a link but I wasn't sure what it was. Oh this will be fun, but I'll probably have to start in the fun next week...Yeah! Always love seeing your week in review!
Love the light at the airport and the twilight image! So excited to participate in P52 with you ladies!
I love that you are a hostess now! You will make a great one girlfriend!! Thanks for the love on my blog today! It is so much for to do the alma mater with the little ones. I agree with you on the lighting situation in the winter...ugh.
Have a great day.
Laurie
I too am drawn to the light and count and appreciate every few seconds more we get at the end of the day!
You definitely found some lovely light this past week. I'm looking forward to linking up with you and Gina this year. I couldn't get the button to paste in my blog. Not sure why, but for some reason blogger was acting funky tonight. Really slow. I'll try again next week.
Looks like we were both thinking about light this week. 'Tis the season. My grandmother used to say "when the light begins to lengthen, the cold begins to strengthen". She lived in Everett-hope those words won't ring true.
Good luck with the linky. Nudge me if I forget.
Great Photos
I agree with winter still holding on, looking for bright and light is a natural thing for us Northerners.
Lovely images Tamar.
All great images of light. I like that--makes me happy to see. Looking forward to a good year sharing photos with the group.
