Yale Art Museum

I was down in New Haven again and Mom and I decided to check out the Yale Museum. It's really a great gem, they have a great collection and the building is absolutely stunning - gothic melded with modern (totally my kind of building!)
The light coming in through the windows was just stunning. Too often art museums are dark, but the natural light helps the masterpieces come to life, in my opinion.
There was an amazing mix of European art, modern art, sculpture, and more!
I took a fun panoramic of one of the galleries - just look at the light, the architecture, so gorgeous!

Oh that light through yonder window breaks! That really is gorgeous. I agree about light bringing life to the pieces in a museum. Not a big fan of fluorescents, and gallery lights are nice, but natural light just beats all.

Oh my Tamar, this is my kind of place too. The light is just gorgeous streaming into the windows, and the architecture and the lion...Makes me want to go explore Houston a bit more! Thanks for the inspiration.

Oooh this is great Tamar. That first arch and column shot with the light I love and the piece of art with the stair reflection on the left is a cool composition. Glad you had a chance to hang out with your Mom.
