Scav Hunt Sunday: Snow and Strawberries

Small things:
I caught a snow flake on my glove this past Sunday - so awesome!

Work of art:
We just read the Chalk Box Kid in guided reading. As a post reading activity I let the kids draw what they would do in an abandoned chalk factory. I just loved the perspective on this one!

Valentine:
I work in a school that doesn't "do" valentines and I don't "do" it at the moment either...so creativity thanks to my freeze dried strawberry it is!

Illustration:
Just a sneak peak (unless you follow me on instagram - link on top left) of the scenes around Boston during the blizzard! I walked (okay, hiked) over to one of my favorite spots. The Riverway was iced over and surrounded by snow, it just looked like an illustration.

Window Beauty:
The church down the road from me - the gorgeous window was made even prettier by the snow.

*more blizzard pics to come - stay tuned!

Great detail on the snowflake... so pretty! I really love the chalk drawing, too. I help out with guided reading in Z's class and I LOVE what the kids come up with during post-reading activities. Such a joy to be a part of that.

Hope you're doing okay in Boston after the storm!! I can't believe how much schools have changed since we were in school with regard to holidays! We had parties for every holiday! One of my good friends teaches around Boston too, and she doesn't get to do anything on Thursday!

A school that doesn't "do" Valentines. Honestly, what's the big deal? Oh well, I guess I'm an old fart.
You were brave to wander yesterday. It was just too windy here. You made the snow pretty-definitely an illustration. Happy sun, happy day.
