P52: Week 11 around the sun

Well, this week was long and a bit stressful, but it's over and I am still here (always look on the bright side!).

School was hopping with excitement this week. It was the week of the play and it was all hands on deck. We saw the official dress rehersal (which I took pics for) and the kids did a great job! They put on "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" - even more amazing is they performed it in both Hebrew and English! We also celebrated Rosh Chodesh and Pi Day - plus the normal goings on of teaching. We've only a week to go before Passover break, and I think we are all ready!

Other than that - it was nice to have had some more mild temps for a few days (as in 48 degrees). I also got a tweet back from the one and only Joe Scarborough. He put out a tweet on twitter asking what the best part of our day had been.  This had been a very hard day, but a parent had thanked me for helping her child thrive - so I sent him that. He responded, thanking me for my service! Um, wow!

Friday night at shul, there was a dinner and performance by Yale's improv comedy troupe - they were hilarious and it was a much needed way to end my insane week!

Highlight of the week: having Joe Scarborough thank me (via twitter) for my service as an educator!

Favorite teaching moment:  hearing a student proclaim that he was excited for our DEAR time (drop everything and read). Nothing warms the heart like a child wanting to read!

Random-osity: mercury is apparently in retrograde...I really have no idea what it means, but I am using it to explain how insane this week was!

Oh you are so full of good and share that you want to help and assist in almost everything. That is a grand ambition. Keep it up. Just don't get burned out. One thing at a time. I love my little grandsons pic of blowing a kiss that I joined here.

Neat trailing ivy in those pots. Sorry you had a stressful week. I'm doing an outreach program with 3rd graders today. Should be fun. They are at such a great learning age. Loved your Pi day activities.
