Scav Hunt Sunday: Shoes and Shapes

Yummy:
Moroccan Spiced Carrots that I whipped up for shabbat this week - recipe later in the week!

Walking Running:
...for Boston. I felt the need to go visit the memorial. I brought an old pair of running shoes, wrote my messages and tied them to the growing shoe collection. It felt really good to do that, part of my adjustment to the new normal.

Anything:
In the midst of the memorial, the messages of hope and love were amazing. Just...amazing, proving that Boston can overcome anything. #bostonstrong

What I did this week:
Pushed myself in the gym challenge I was in. I managed to get 4 "laps" done on the monkey bars and shocked myself with how well I did in my other events like pull-ups and push-ups and bench-press. My team came in 7th overall (behind many trainers) and I was number 9 overall for the women competing, so it was a fun change of pace at the gym!

Favorite toy:
We are learning about polygrams and other geometric shapes - the tangrams are a class favorite right now!

As I see the flags come up from half mast and things begin to return to normal for most of us...I feel as if we have just sort of "moved on." As if this was just a news story and now we are ready for the next thing to happen...I can understand why you felt the need to see the memorial.

These are all great choices for the hunt. I love your shot of the memorial and tribute to the Boston marathon victims and congratulate you on your mad monkey bar skills. Seriously, good job!

What a week - Love your shoe shot... It was wonderful to head into Fenway a couple of times this week - just to be down town, in the crowds...all together. Here's a blog you might want to check out:

I remember enjoying those tangrams. Looks like a fun activity. I'm glad you're touching base with the memorials in Boston. I imagine that's very healing...and as for monkey bars. You totally rock.

Oh those carrots sound interesting.
Way to go on visiting the Boston Memorial. One must go on but must also never forget.
Wow you must be pretty fit. Kudos for being able to do that Gym run. Much more then I could do right now. I pulled chest muscles so bad just trying to use 1 lbs. weights earlier this month that I though I was having heart issues.
