Man oh man, did we get to see an amazingly exciting game on Sunday! The Red Sox were playing the Cleveland Indians and it was quite the game!
The Sox had a slow start, letting in a few runs early in the game. But the Sox hung in there!
We saw some amazing plays. The Sox defense has their act together this season and were really putting on a show.
The Sox were having a harder time getting their bats to come alive, though...
The action on the field was exciting, the crowd kept getting to their feet, which helped fend of the cold! It was a balmy and a very windy 50 degrees and our seats were right in the wind!
By the 9th inning, it wasn't look good. But the Cleveland pitcher was getting tired and sloppy and suddenly the Sox were within 2 runs and the bases were loaded! The whole stadium was on their feet and cheering as loud as they could! I was standing
on my seat and clapping so hard I couldn't feel my hands!
With two outs and a full count, Jacoby Ellsbury knocked the ball straight towards the Green Monster!! By the time he reached 2nd plate, two runs had scored and the team charged the field!
Amazing! I've never seen a walk-off win before, and man it is
amazing! Nothing beats the energy at Fenway and
nothing can even hold a candle to the energy yesterday as we heard the crack of the bat against that ball! Go Sox!

That was a fun, wait ...Great POST! Your photos are much better than seeing it on TV. We only have a minor league in in SL and it ain't that great. Hearing a Bostonian cheering for their team is a great and fun perspective. THANKS!
Sounds like it was a great game...you may want to consider becoming a sports announcer if you ever decide to give up your teaching job!!
I'm sorry to say that I didn't get any of that!! I'm so not a sports fan even though here in Melbourne everyone is mad about Aussie Rules Football, Footy. Think you have to be borne and bread to like it.
On the other hand I loved the kids poems. Such lovely little pieces.
