P52: Week 23 around the sun

Another busy and exciting week. Lots of time spent getting to the end of the year and lots of time already mentally preparing for the next year! It feels amazing to know that I will be there next year, I remember this time last year feeling so sad that every day was the last day with my kids and the school. But this year - it's amazing to look forward to the next year!

We had our whole school Zimriyah this week. It's our annual songfest, the kids learn Hebrew songs all year long and perform then in a wonderful event. My kids did so great and I can't get one of the songs out of my head, but seriously, adorable!

Other than that, just enjoying the nice weather. It's been nice to come home in the evening and enjoy the cool breeze in my apartment, savoring it before the summer heat kicks in next month! I'm maybe 50 pages away from finishing the first book from my summer reading challenge - I'll review it later this month, but a sweet read!

Highlight of the week: I got some super cute shirts on sale (favorite 4 letter word) at Loft. I try not to buy new clothes too often, but it always makes me feel so great to get new things!

Favorite teaching moment: For some adorable reason, my class was convinced I was looping with them to 4th grade (flattering, but no idea where they got that idea!). One mom told me on Friday that her daughter was refusing to go to 4th grade and insisted she must stay in third grade! Melt my heart!

Random-osity: We had a little (ha) bit of rain on Friday. By Saturday AM 3.77 inches fell in my neighborhood! It was raining SO hard that my rain coat was soaked through...North Face's water proof material was no match for the deluge!
Also! I'm working on growing the blog's facebook page - won't you please join me over there as well? I post a sampling of the random things around me and would love to connect there (here) too!

Well, it's no surprise your kids would want you to be their teacher again next year. :)

I'm so excited for your upcoming break! It's so nice to recharge for the next year. We've had tons of rain as well. Ready to dry off a bit!

I am sad that I missed all that nice weather. We were in Boston the 23rd through the 29th and only had two nice days. So happy you will be renewing your contract.

Sounds like you are much-adored and are in a God-given profession (calling)!

I love those photos... we see the rain often here - but those clear skies and abundant greenery more than make up for it!

Heading over to your Facebook page now! :)

Great shot of the leaves with the rain drops. Also saw your 10 on 10 post. I want to do that this summer--fun idea!
