P52: Week 31 around the sun

Another week in Oregon. I soaked up every moment with Noam and Ronan (and Avi and Ben). It's so amazing to watch Ronan change before my eyes, but he's growing so that's good!!

It's so funny, Oregon is where I spend all my vacations, yet it's part vacation part second home. I drive all over, I know the routines, it's just another part of my life, just in another state. I do just love Oregon in the summer, though. The sun sets at nearly 10pm, there's fire pits, grilling, marshmallows, and amazing local wines enjoyed while sitting out under the clear blue skies.

I've also realized that as Noam has gotten older he and I have traditions that we now do together each time I visit. We go to the zoo, we ride the tram at OHSU, we go to the farmer's market, we facetime with Savti, etc etc. I can't wait to form these with Ronan as he gets older too!

Sadly, the end of the week saw me hugging everyone and heading back to Boston. Noam actually told me "go back to Boston, Mar Mar" - honest toddler, love it. It feels good to be back on my turf, but I sure do miss these little people!

I made it back in time for the last day of the summer gym challenge. I am insane and hit up the gym hours after my red-eye landed. I actually improved in three events, tried one other, and then passed out cold on the couch for 2 hours! I'm nuts, what can I say?

Highlight of the week: Every second with Noam and Ronan. The top one? Might be Noam running in from our trip to the zoo with the toy he picked for Ronan screeching "Baby Ronan! Baby Ronan!" and then putting it in his crib for him!

Favorite teaching moment: I'd like to state for the record that teachers work (some) during the summer. I had two video conference calls with co-workers this week to plan for next year. Ronan was hanging with me during them so Avi could rest so he was introduced to my fellow teachers and was a charmer, of course!

Random-osity: My favorite AM radio dj followed me on instagram. Sunday night he liked this picture!
Also! I'm working on growing the blog's facebook page - won't you please join me over there as well? I post a sampling of the random things around me and would love to connect there (here) too!

And I am on bloglovin' here! Plus the various other social media sites, see the links at the top right of the page!

Oh Mar Mar, I love that! So cute when kids say our names.

I saw on IG you were at a Red Sox game already. You are constantly on the GOOOOOOOOOO! Be glad you are young. I was like that at your age. Some weeks I as so busy that I would be amazed I was functioning on so little sleep.

Your photos and memories are so unique. Cherish them all.

Incredible week you sure had. I love knowing that you were so close & happy that you get to experience life in the Pacific NW a few times a year.

Oregon really is a fabulous place to spend the summer. Reminds me of when we used to live on Vancouver Island. Safe travels back to Boston and may the transition back to "real" life not be too traumatic! :)

Looks like another wonderful week in Oregon with family. Love the wine glass in the sandbox. That's my kind of play ;0)
