I really kicked off being back in Boston with a spur of the moment Red Sox game on Sunday. A friend needed to give away his tickets for the game and I snatched them up! I'd never actually sat out in the bleachers in the outfield. We saw some great plays (the other team's right fielder had a bad day) and I got way too much sun...oops.
I spent the rest of the week with lots of time at home getting organized ahead of returning to school/work. I did small projects that just made me feel like the apartment is all put together. My favorite might be the new trash and recycling system in my kitchen...it's the small things folks.
The HUGE thing this week might have been being published on a real website (not that this blog is fake...). Jewish Women's Archive is featuring education themed articles this month and I was asked to contribute. It was so well received so a huge thank you to anyone who read it and commented! I also overhauled my class' blog and am super excited to really use it this year!
Highlight of the week: 100% - getting published on a nationally read site! Pretty cool, I think!
Favorite teaching moment: Spending time making lists of what I need to do to finish prepping for the new year. It's coming together and I am excited!
Random-osity: I'm super proud of my home-made dust pan hook for under my sink. I cut a wire hanger and jerry-rigged one. Works perfectly!
Also! I'm working on growing the blog's facebook page - won't you please join me over there as well? I post a sampling of the random things around me and would love to connect there (here) too!
And I am on bloglovin' here! Plus the various other social media sites, see the links at the top right of the page!

Thanks for liking my chunky heels. Those shoes are amazingly comfy. Just straps keep them on.
Tamar, I so agree...it is the small things that can get you so excited and back on track with a pep in your step.
Looks like a great set Tamar!!
Back to school time always puts me in an organizing mode...and I loved your article on the "real" website! :)
Congrats on all you have accomplished.
Oh my hubby would be so jealous! He is from Boston and would love to get to Fenway again!
a lot of people skipped Simon's party to go to the red sox game - but the royals won!
So cool to be published like that! Congrats!! Sounds like you had a really resourceful week too. Good for you.
