How 'bout them apples?

Fall in New England cannot be beat. It's just gorgeous and amazing and one must do activity is apple picking! Last year, we had a blast picking apples and this year was an excellent continuation of that tradition!
Jenny and I set out to Honey Pot Hill Farms (with the rest of the Metro area). The weather was perfect and the trees were full of apples
We had a blast finding the trees we wanted to pick from. I never missed an opportunity to climb a ladder and I was so determined to get Cortland apples, I actually climbed a tree.
It's amazing to just walk the rows of trees and see apples in every direction. I just love fall in New England!
Now, what to do with all the apples I came home with...

How, how much fun. We did this too. I have a killer apple pie recipe. :) I make multiple pie insides with the apples and freeze them in zip lock bags. I pull one out everytime I need a dessert.

Your photos are gorgeous. I love the peek of those sneakers.

You are so blessed to live in New England this time of year.

Oh, I love these so much, and yes I do fondly remember when you went apple picking last year, so fun! Love the perspective of the ladder photos, and with the shoes, and love the one of the apples on the ground!

Okay, i reallly like all your apple photos but...I LOVE that old wooden ladder!!!!!!! Looks like a wonderful day (I remember last year when you did this! Can't believe it's been a year already). Lots of great recipes and apple dishes I see coming your way :)

So much fun- our orchards are so packed with people that we never went before the weather changed. Now I just go to the farmer down the street & pick up what he's already boxed for me.

I love going apple picking in the fall. I hope we get to it this year. The photos are always my favorite (along with pumpkin patch photos). We usually get a little over zealous and come home with too many apples but I make crock pot applesauce that we go through pretty quickly.

So many trees, so many apples! We went a couple of weeks ago in California -- such fun! I love that ladder. You got a great shot of it, great perspective! Enjoy eating all them apples :)

I had the sudden urge to now go out and go into the garage and eat one of the apples we picked. I can almost taste the apple looking at your photo!

ummmm... I haven't picked apples this year, but have certainly visited Gopher Glen Apple Ranch weekly. How about apple fritters? can you make a gluten-free dough, cut circles of dough and just wrap some apple slices, cinnamon, a sprinkle of sugar & a tad a butter? then fold over & seal by pressing your fork on the edge of the dough. i've missed P52 - I hope to be "back in the saddle" this coming week.
