Zoo Lights

New Year's Eve, before I had to go to the airport, we headed off to the zoo for Zoo Lights. The Oregon Zoo puts on quite the show and this year didn't disappoint.
We get there before the zoo closes and see the animals, which Noam loves. He hadn't napped that day and was Mr. Active. Roo was snuggled up asleep.

The lights are fun to see before it gets dark, but once the sun goes down the true beauty is revealed.
This year I had way too much fun taking pictures of the gorgeous lights along the walk ways.
I may or may not have sat on the ground for 10 minutes taking pictures of these...
Ronan eventually woke up and was fascinated by all the lights. He was just staring in awe. I can't blame him, the zoo goes all out and creates a magical place to wander about.
This is such a special Oregon tradition. Makes the memories of my last night with these cuties so much more special!

A wonderful, and memorable, way to end your visit with you nephews! You will DEF always be "the fun Aunt" in their eyes.

These are really cool lights! Next time we ever are in OR, we will definitely have to visit the zoo there. We wanted to, but just didn't have the time.

They do this at the Baton Rouge zoo too! I've yet to actually visit, and by that I mean the Baton Rouge zoo ever, but I'd love to go and see all the holiday lights one year!
