The Good. The Random. The Fun. v.1.6

The Good:
Thanks to another snow day I was able to finish my latest needle point this week! The metallic thread is a bugger to work with, but I managed to use it (why do I do that to myself...) with minimal frustration - regardless of the (minor) headaches, I love how it turned out!

The Random:
I got such a kick out of the Superbowl - I had too much fun bashing the Broncos on twitter. My personal favorites were: "Looks like the Broncos were locked out of heaven" and "they brought a horse, but not their horse power...?" Also, shouldn't the gatorade be in the team's color - random, right?

The Fun:
More snow this week! We got about 3 inches on Monday and then about a foot on Wednesday which earned me another snow day. Looks like the Groundhog was spot on with the winter forecast. Seems like one of my kiddos doesn't share my enthusiasm for snow though - he's not hoping for more snow!

Wow, you know it's bad when Boston gets a snow day! Love your needlework. Amazing and way to stick to it!

The needlepoint is lovely and I can just imagine the gold floss. Sounds like it might be easily frayed. I share your snow day enthusiasm, but looks like we are in for a nice event this week. Not sure how to feel about that one.

Looks and sounds like a great week! Love your project! We had another snow day also. That makes six! Oy! At this rate, the kids will still be going to school in July! :) Thanks for hosting!

The cross-stitch turned out great, I do love the gold threads, and yes metallics are a bugger. I haven't done these in so long, but I really enjoyed them and found them relaxing.

It's too bad the east coast can't scoop all the snow up and ship it over to CA for their drought!!

Man, these are all great. Glad you got you needle point done! I read somewhere that "I went to a Bruno Mars Concert and a football game broke out." I love that. Goooo Seahawks!!!. Great game.
No more snow. I am so done with it. yay! Thanks for the snaps on me post. ♥

Beautiful job on the needlepoint! What does it say? And is it for framing? A Pillow? You've gotten me motivated to pick up a project I started a while back! I thought that about the gatorade too - probably because it matched the loosing team so well, and the winners not at all!

I didn't think kids would ever get tired of snow. There must really be a lot of it. Nice job on the needlework.

Love your needlepoint...just took up handwork and so far so good.
I love your little snowman...no more snow would work for me :)

Your needlepoint turned out quite nicely. I also enjoyed the Superbowl more with the aid of tweeting observations and reading other's. I did enjoy the halftime - no malfunctions, just plain showmanship. As soon as I consider griping about the snow I think of Boston - then I am grateful that Allyson is in Japan instead. There is a light at the end of this winter.

That needlepoint is just gorgeous! I'm sure the metallic thread is a stinker but so worth it for that sparkle you get!! We had almost a full week off of school due to the heavy snow on Sunday-Monday and then the ice storm on Wednesday that knocked a lot of power out. Our county was the worst hit and some people still don't have power. I'm happy to be back in a normal routine this week!

Fun shots! We are not big sports fans, but we did watch the superbowl. The best post I heard about it was from a friend on facebook who said, "I think the superbowl is more fun when 2 teams show up to play!".

I love your needlepoint as well. I used to cross-stitch quite a bit when I was younger, but find that I don't have time now with my little kiddos!

Thanks for stopping by to visit me. I always look forward to your comments!

My thought on winter is if it is going to be cold it might as well snow. And if it snows, go ahead and make it a blizzard. :)

I miss doing needlepoint. I still have a couple of kits that I've been meaning to start on...
