The Good. The Random. The Fun. v.1.8

The Good:
I was so pleasantly surprised when I went to get some pictures off my camera to find these. I forgot I took them earlier in the week when I witnessed a stunning blue sky at sunset.
I love the winter for the dark nights, but I may be a smidge excited to have a bit more daylight in the evenings....I mean...if it's going to produce these skies, than why not enjoy it, right?

The Random:
Hi my name is Tamar and I am a list maker. I have so many ideas and things going through this little noggin that lists keep me somewhat (keeping it real) sane. I realized on Friday, as my vacation week drew to a close, that I hadn't made a list...in a week...and the world went on. Naturally, by the day's end...I had a list of things to do over the weekend...old habits and back to life and reality.

The Fun:
I had all these plans for my vacation week...then my immune system revolted so I spent much of the week on the couch.

Right, that doesn't sound so fun, but it let me watch lots of olympics coverage live. And the real fun part? I have a new love (maybe, yeah, it is, a strong word) for Johnny Weir and Tara Lapinski. I will admit that as a former skater, I was never a Johnny or Tara person (we used to call her Tara LaTwinkie...). But...they are all kinds of fabulous now. They actually called the skating so well and make the funniest duo ever!
*shallow, but don't judge, I was semi-comatose all week and they were my comedic relief/actually good commentators!

Bummer that you were under the weather health wise for your vacation week. I didn't watch very much of the Olympics this time round - my husband was apparently boycotting them (which is a weird thing because he is all sports/all time). Sometimes former athletes are a good fit for commentary - too often, however, that is not the case.

PS - Hello, my name is Nicki and I make lists. ...

I am so glad you could have a week of rest. Sometimes we need that. : )

I know when it happens to me I am always unappreciative thinking there is so much to be done, but then, when it's done I am thankful.

Have a great week at school!

Sorry you "lost" your vacation week to the couch. I the last half of my week their too. Back to work in a few! I am LOVING the 5:00 sky...some light when I leave work, and beautiful shades of all sorts!! Love your shots, especially the silhouetted tree over the roof tops!

I'm a list maker too! LOL! Those skies are fabulous! I'm really excited about more light as spring draws near. My brain needs the happy light!

HA - I'm such a list maker - as soon as I cross something off it just makes room for more to add to it. I'm looking at my list for this week right now - feeling a little overwhelmed.

Wish I could have caught more of the Olympic coverage- I love it & yet only saw snippets.

I too am a list maker. One has to be in order that things get accomplished, right? Too bad you were a bit 'out of it' but at least you recognize it and can stop and take care of it. You are SMART!

Get better Tamar...we've had a house full of sniffles, coughs and everything in between too.

What beautiful skies! Sorry you haven't been feeling well, but glad you got to enjoy Olympic coverage. I have to say...I enjoyed Johny, but Tara got on my nerves, although she seemed to tone it down as the coverage progressed. Regardless, they definitely brought a fresh perspective to sportscasting! I hope you're feeling 100% by now!!

All I could think about when I saw your commentators☺ was the special they did on the 10 year reunion on Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding last night...did you see it? Anyhoo, I hope you are starting to feel better.

Oh Tamar! I had to come back and say that I go through times when I love verbal graphics and times I don't. I'm getting back into it now days. But I know what you mean. This shirt is really different or more unique.

It actually says:
"The Zth Galaxy in ur"
and then in large letters
" M I N D " .

What the heck is a "Zth"? and What the heck is it trying to say???? lol

I am so with you on the list making! And Tara and Johnny were definitely entertaining, not to mention I was fascinated to learn you were a skater. Very cool!

oh my gosh I love that second photo!

Love those sky photos! I have noticed that it is getting dark later and that the sun has moved quite a bit. Yay! Spring is coming!

I am a list maker also. I feel kinda lost without a list. :)

When the Olympics ended, I was sad. I had tuned in late as I'm not much of a TV watcher, but once I started watching, I was hooked. I probably watched more TV in the last 10 days than I had in the last 6 months! :)

Beautiful sunsets are about the only thing I can find decent about this winter. Great shots.
