Ok, bear with me, I promise this is good! I am a space buff/nerd. I love all the good space movies and last weekend HBO showed my 2 favorites. "Apollo 13" and "Deep Impact" - I get such a good sob from both of them. Nothing like a good sob on a weekend afternoon, right? Good movies, good sob, see, good.
The Random:
My mom sent me a big box of goodies for Purim including these little gummy penguins from Trader Joe's. I had fun playing with them - Penguin pyramid!
The Fun:
I totally got into the NCAA madness this year. My alma mater, American U. was dancing again (third time ever) for the first time since my junior year. I have 4 brackets. All of which are so busted. AU played (and got destroyed) on Thursday. I had my computer open with the gamecast while we practiced for the kid's milestone event. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle!

Have you read Cosmos by Carl Sagan? If you love space, you will LOVE this book!!

My brackets are totally obliterated. :( Love those little penguin treats!
The brackets around here are not looking too good.
From the sound of things, this year's NCAA playoffs have pretty much busted everyone's brackets. Those penguins are creepy and cute at the same time (sweet pyramid) and my husband totally gets into space stuff - but not for a good cry (he's just in it for the nerdness).
Have a great Monday Tamar.
Ha, I love it all! The gummies are hilarious!
Those gummie penguins are so cute! I love a good sob movie!
I love pace stuff too. I wanted to be an astronaut as a kid for a small season. Then, I rode Mission to Mars at Epcot and confirmed that I don't have The Right Stuff. I have followed March Madness much, but I heard a little school from GA is doing ok.
Oh I love the Purim Penguin Pyramid!
lol, have a great Monday, my friend!
PENGUIN gummies??!!! I have to get some of those for my boy!! We rewatched some old "24" this weekend (in between basketball games) and I got a good sob when Jack said good bye to his daughter. And then didn't die. Oregon AND Harvard lost in the same evening...womp womp. Do we dare hope these next few days are winter's last hurrah??!!!! "Our" JR has the smallest snowfall amounts for us....fingers crossed that he's right!
LoVe the pyramid, so fun and perfect with gummies! lol
Gummy Penguins? Trader Joes? I am on my way! My Thing #2 is a penguin fanatic...I see a package being mailed to her in the near future. FYI, American is on Thing #3's "short list" for colleges.
Funny picture of the penguins! I got really curious about your last picture. I'm not very known to american culture, so I had to google NCAA and the meaning of the word "brackets"... I found out! Then I learned something even this day...
I don't know if you love space in general, or just the fictional movies, but if you love facts about space, you should take a look at this cool site. It really set things into perspective! http://joshworth.com/dev/pixelspace/pixelspace_solarsystem.html
And your challenge is funny. Maybe I will participate, now or later.
Wish you a happy week!
Love the penguin pyramid--so cute! My husband was all over the madness this past week. I think it's normal to have your brackets in shambles. That's half the fun! or so he says ;0)
I love the movie Apollo 13, but I don't think I've ever seen Deep Impact. I'll have to check that one out. Sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon!
Love your gummy bear pyramid!
My husband did the NCAA thing too. He was laughing at how quickly he got out of the running. :)
Thanks for hosting! I'm linking up late again. {sigh}
