Blue Angels

The big part of the air show last weekend was the Blue Angels. The show did not disappoint. The maneuvers and flight patterns they flew were amazing. They literally take your breathe away!
They are flying within feet of each other here.
Notice each plane is flying at a different angle - insane.
Seriously an amazing show, the whole air show was amazing, but these six pilots and their routines were truly the star of the show and the day. If you ever have a chance to see them perform, seize it - it's just amazing.

Awesome photos! I miss The Blue Angels. There used to be an airshow a mile from my house every year. We'd sit on our deck and be able to see the pilots in their cockpits as they flew by. The house would shake, but it was breathtaking....literally!

Tamar, that sure looks like fun. We went to an air show one year but the whole thing was put on hold due to some problem with one of the planes. It was 90 degrees in the shade and we couldn't hold out for more than an hour of waiting. We went back to the hotel to cool off. It was unfortunate that there were no shade tents set up for spectators. I wonder if they've learned since then. I've learned to take an umbrella, rain or shine. We don't seem to remember to use umbrellas for shade do we?

These are fab shots! Love how you composed them. I well remember Blue Angels Air Shows from when I was like 3-4 years old. They make an impression!

Your pictures are amazing!! All that blue is beautiful. Those moves were crazy! Sometimes the jets practice around our house for the show and I always like seeing them fly by.

WOW!! I love this...and your other post from the air show! I've never seen anything like that - you got some great photos too. I always wonder how you "start" the process of being a pilot like that. Like who wants to practice with you when you're just a beginner??!!

Great pictures of an awesome performance. I wish I could see them. They are on LI this weekend, but the traffic going there on Memorial Day weekend... I think not, unfortunately.

It is mind-boggling how close they fly to each other. Great photos.
