One last hurrah! We went into Boston last Friday to take a tour of the Freedom Trail. It may have been rainy and icky, but we went and had a blast!
We started at the duck pond, we saw the daddy swan and the nesting mommy swan. We saw so many duck families, too. One group of ducklings came super close to us - it was so exciting!
Then we hung out with the most famous ducks in Boston for a bit! After a quick lunch we headed towards the Freedom Trail. Seriously, taking a group of kids on a trip with a real line to follow is amazing. "Line up on the red line and stay on it!" Perfect!
Our guide/re-enactor was amazing. He was Dr. Samuel Prescott. We learned he was actually the only rider to arrive in Concord on the night of the famous ride of Paul Revere (who was captured and never made it!). He was so good with the kids and they loved him.
We had such a fun time, despite the soggy weather. I know I will remember this day for a long, long time and I sure hope these kids do too!
also...going to do a better job at promoting my Monday link-up!

Walk on the red line - love it! What a great experience for those kiddos!
What brilliant fun! Good for you for not letting the weather keep you at home. Over here in London we have to make a point of braving the elements otherwise we'd never go anywhere. All the best, Bonny
They will remember this and they will remember you! What a fun way to end an era!
Always a fun take and great shots of the Freedom Trail ~ thanks, ^_^

Looks like it was a fun, fun day despite the rain. And educational as well!!
Oh fun post Tamar! Great photos of the feet of both ducks and the kids. Your photos are always the best!
Thanks for the hope and cheers. Sure need them lately more than before. awh~
Looks like a fun day out, lovely pictures :)
I'm glad the rain didn't dampen your spirits! What a fun trip! I miss Boston and need to plan a trip. Our girls have never been there!! The ducks and ducklings were so cute!
How wonderful for you and the kids. Some smart person had the line idea I am sure.
Sounds like it worked out great!
On my first trip to Boston in college I did make it to the Freedom Trail. Although the friend I was with couldn't believe she was back walking it again in college, so we weren't there very long. But I still had fun with it, and I'd love to go back someday!
