I got to see Cirque du Soleil this past weekend with a friend. We scored tickets at a discount and anxiously waited for weeks for the big day. It was a gorgeous day, sunny, no clouds in sight, breezy, just perfect. The tent was down in the sea port district and we got there early and grabbed lunch and enjoyed the nice weather before heading into the tent.
The Random:
I haven't been to a circus in over 20 years. We used to actually protest/picket outside of them with PETA (little known fact about my life for you this morning). So, I haven't been this close to a striped circus tent in ages. I was giddy with excitement.
Although, once inside you quickly realize this is not your average circus at all. It's Cirque!
The Fun:
Even before the show began the performers were out in the crowd. It was nice to see them up close with the lights up. And once the show began, wow. Amazing. My mouth had to be closed for me a few times. The acrobatics were phenomenal, the aerial stunts amazing, and the music breathtaking.

ooooh, I've never heard of that particular Cirque show! I absolutely LOVE Cirque du Soleil, I've seen La Nouba, Alegria, and Quidam thus far!

This is my kind of circus show. The traditional ones have never had much appeal for me. Looks like an amazing event!
We have considered it during our visits to Disney (Downtown Disney) - but the price was hard to justify with the whole family - perhaps on a trip for two it will be more budget friendly.
So how many times did you say "OH MY GOSH!"" during your Cirque Show??!!?? LOVE THEM!

Oh how cool- we never had the chance when we were in Vegas to see the shows.

Circ is on my to do list! I just wish the tickets weren't so expensive.
I love cirque du soleil! I saw O in las vegas and it was so amazing. I also saw mystere last year here in kc!
