Random-osity: Don't rain on my grilling parade.

I love grilling.

I love grilling on the 4th of July.

Even JR saying during his weather report on the 4th "grilling forecast is grim folks" was not going to keep my from grilling out on the 4th!

The irony of it all: Hurricane Arthur is what caused it to rain close to 2.5 inches and my Zayda, Arthur, owned a propane company and helped plant the grilling seed in me!

So, as the rain poured down, I set to work. Call me stubborn, stupid, or insane, I was going to grill!!

Menu: cedar planked maple ginger salmon, veggies, and corn. I found the best use for a syringe: marinade assistant!

Unlike the night before, I was prepared. Wellies, my real rain coat, and Zayda Arthur's golf umbrella.

Granted, it required small batches on the grill and a well choreographed dance of "keep the grill covered" and "grill while holding an umbrella" - but it all came together and was delicious!

As I told my friends, Avi, and mom: propane runs in my blood! I even sent a picture to JR via twitter saying "nothing keeps me from grilling on the 4th!"
