Mom and I went to Tkts last Sunday to get tickets to a show. We got amazing seats for "Violet" with the one and only Sutton Foster (who we also saw in "Anything Goes"). I just love her and the show was beyond wonderful. Great cast, great songs, and wonderful show!
The Random:
We got these "brain freeze" straws from 7/11 when I was a kid. I love using them for drinks when I am home in NY. They're still hilarious even as an adult!
The Fun:
We had a very rainy 4th of July, but I was determined to grill dinner. Thanks to a very large golf umbrella, my wellies, and the propane that runs in my veins we were successful!!

It wouldn't be the 4th without a BBQ!

Brain freeze straws - HOW COOL!!!
I haven't heard of Violet but I love Sutton Foster! That sounds amazing!! The brain freeze straw cracks me up! My dad used to always be out grilling in the rain with his umbrella. That brought back a great memory for me!
HI TAMAR! Maureen from Josephina Ballerina here. Following your clever-fun blog on Bloglovin'. The whole -osity thing cracked me up. I do that with -age. As in asking a kid, "Have we achieved eatage?" I get faces and snickers. Fun.
Anyway, just stopping by to say thank you for your nice comments a few times on my blog. Josephina gets all wiggly and purry when we getz comments. :) :) m & jb
Looks like a fun week, aww i need a BBQ :) yum...
Thanks for hosting :)yeah I remembered to do a post and link up...
I've never heard of Violet - I used to love going to Broadway shows back in the day.
Good job grilling even though it rained! We had major bbqs over here - Friday and Sunday! :)
Great accomplishments all the way around. Would you believe I have never seen a Broadway play? Yup, stuck here in Utah with a bad disease does it every time. I love the wellies on the 4th, too. Whatever works! ♥
That straw is a hoot - my daughter is addicted to straws...might have to try and hunt one of those down! Your can-do spirit always shines through...from the classroom, to grilling, to life! So inspiring!
Love the determination of that cookout. For the record, we still have the McDonald Tarzan straws that make some animal noise from when the kids were - well, kids. I'm not so sure they would be as amused if I pulled them out.
I love the straws and never saw anything like them before.
Happy 4th of July!!! x
Those brain freeze straws are hilarious! My boys would get a huge kick out of them.
Looks like another great week! A Broadway show? I'm a bit jealous. :) Love the brain freeze straws! Also love your persistence for grilling on the 4th!
Thanks for hosting!
