Blended Ice Coffee

It's summer time, it's warm, and that means it's iced season. My mom came up with this a bunch of years ago and it's part of my summer morning routine to this day.

Since this is my first summer with my Keurig and it was super easy to adapt the "recipe" to use with a k-cup!
Each evening, I brew my choice of coffee. I brew a more concentrated amount (so when I add ice I don't dilute it!). On the Keurig I use the middle option, I think it's around 6 oz. If you brew coffee another way, just prepare a more concentrated amount.
The next morning, my coffee is nice and cold and ready to blend! This is where you need to play around a few time; it all depends on the size of your ice cubes (and desired slushiness). I have a standard ice cube tray and use 3 cubes - perfect amount of ice for me.
I then add a little more water and some almond milk to fill up my Magic Bullet cup. I also put some vanilla extract and cinnamon in. If you like sugar go ahead and put it in now, I prefer mine with no sweetener.
I then blend it in my Magic Bullet. You can use any blender type devise (Nutribullet, Braun, Vitamix, etc).
Then, you have a lovely iced coffee. I love it because there is no ice diluting my coffee like at the big name coffee shops. A friend recently declared "if given the option of free Dunkin' or Starbucks or your iced coffee, I'd still choose yours!"

Enjoy!

Who needs Starbucks? This looks so good and with that needed morning jolt!

Oh yummy recipe but I don't do coffee. I know I think I am the only female adult in blogland to admit that.

Thanks for they NICE compliment! Trust me those sunnies are hiding some pretty messed up eyes. Both my onco and my optometrist are baffled as to why they are so badly swollen. I thought it was from being emotional and my tear fests but it does it anyway for days when I haven't cried a drop. hmmmm?

Have a happy evening and such for your next post. I so enjoy your whole blog! ♥

Love my coffee, especially with cream (or in your case - Almond Milk) - but I'm generally not a cold coffee drinker - but this looks good - hummmm! ....
