The Good. The Random. The Fun. v.36

The Good:
After a busy week back to work, welcoming shabbat felt so good. I think I take it for granted during the summer when shabbat's arrival doesn't mean the arrival of a nice day of rest.

The Random:
Do street poles get cold? Because someone knit this one a little sweater...

The Fun:
The evening after the first day of school, I found "Hook" on tv. Considering my facebook post that am as I walked into Maimo was a riff on the line "To live would be an awfully big adventure" it was so fitting to watch one of my favorite movies of all time.

This yard bombing as Dina calls it, is hilarious. I can't imagine why they are doing it? But it is kinda of cute.

Best.Random.Ever!! I love the notion of Shabbat. It's taken me a lot of years to learn the value of rest. I need to think about making our Friday meal a bit more special than just another night. As it begins to get darker earlier, candles would be a wonderful addition!

I have seen knitted tree huggers - apparently the latest in art and fashion. I have firmly told our trees and poles - ain't gonna happen! lol!

Love Hook - one of my kids' favorites.

I have seen the knitted scarves on trees (in Ithaca of course) but never on a street pole. I like it! Glad you got some rest after a busy week. I need to watch Hook again!

I love your fresh look on rest now that work is back in session. You really only gain a real understanding of rest when you've been working! I love the idea of lighting candles and marking the sabbath as an event.

After last winter street poles must be preparing for this winter!

I love the pole with a sweater on it. Hahahahaha. That reminds me of stuff my Mom would do. Like it probably had a rough spot someone would rub against, so a solution, however odd, would be taken care of by my Mom.

and Yes I did shop. and Yes I don't have any chemo feelings at all and Yes I am so glad we are friends! ♥, Renae

Beautiful candles, so calming. I love Hook too. Watched it the day after finding out about Robin Williams's death.

I don't know what shabbat is but I am glad you got to enjoy it! :)

Cute sweater for the pole!

I don't think I have ever seen Hook - at least not all of it. Will have to check it out soon!
