Apple Picking!

If you visit New England during the fall, you must go apple picking. So apple picking (and eating) we went!
This the third year that I have come to this orchard, but the first time I came on a week day and it was so quiet it was amazing and made it so much more fun to let the boys run around the rows of trees.
Noam was all about finding ladders to climb up and pick apples from. Ronan, was a hot mess between the wet grass and slippery apples on the ground the kid kept falling over, laughing at himself all the while!
Ronan almost got the hang of picking apples, well, almost...
After we picked 2 bushels of apples (!), we headed over to the store and mini-farm, Noam was trying to convince us to buy a pumpkin (no dice) and the little daredevil was just being cute.
We ended the outing with cider and cider donuts for the Goober, and than tried to figure out what to do with about 100+ apples!

Hey Tamar,
I guess "EAT THEM FAST" is not helpful advice when confronted with 100+ apples, huh?

How wonderful! I used to go apple picking every fall when I lived in New Mexico. Sweet memories for me and some wonderful memories you are making.

So fun! I love apples and pumpkins! Such a great way to celebrate fall. I'm still trying to find my fall groove before I miss it completely.

You got some great photos - such fun to explore with two "mini" explorers! The expressions on their faces are priceless!

And surprised to hear it was quiet on the weekend?!? I think of those places as being mobbed on the weekend - keeps me from wanting to go. Guess I'll have to change that!

Oh Tamar!

Adorable photos of my little friends you share with me. I remember you getting apples when I first started following you two years ago. Wowzers!

Yes, ding dang Blogger is the culprit but I prevailed and got up a version of the post I wanted.

I can't believe you didn't fall for that cute "Can we please buy a pumpkin?" face. :)

We're never around in Canada in the fall, but one day... My MIL has her own apple tree in her backyard and she sends us photos of her harvest every year. :)
