The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 43

The Good:
The third grade has a wonderful program last week all about individuals who are blind and have visual impairments. They learned about braille, how these individuals get around the world, and can live very full lives, they learned a ton!

The Random:
I'm kinda obsessed with these air terrariums at the botanical gardens. No soil or water - just air!

The Fun:
Since I have to be a grown up 5 days a week, it's fun on the weekends to wear my fun clothes, like my chucks.

I used to wear chucks all the time. the last time I got a new pair though, they were too small and I haven't gotten more since.

Learning about folks with blindness was probably very interesting! They should do something like that at our schools. Those terrariums are fascinating! Love your chucks!

I remember learning about the blind / Helen Keller and such.
I love those bottle gardens. and chucks are almost excepted everywhere these days. I recall wearing them to church when I was 10 or so, accidentally, and I was mortified and kept my feet way under the pew the entire time. I can still remember they were olive green and I had on a brown print dress with white lace and I was so embarrassed cuz the colors didn't go and my shoes were dusty dirty (play shoes).

Air! Air! How cool is that! I'm posting so late. My dates are all mixed up. Ha!

Such a key lesson in life to learn that despite what life has dealt us, we are often our own limitation - learning to spend some time in the shoes of the visually impaired teaches both respect, admiration, and inspiration.
ps - being a grown-up is so overrated, enjoy the weekends to the max.

What a fun way to show the kids how others deal with challenges. I'm sure they learned great empathy! Love that first terrarium. That's gorgeous!
