I am a political junky. Election day is a beyond exciting day for me.
I love the significance that we, the people, get to voice our choice. This country was founded on the basis that the people would be able to elect change.
We may not always agree with the results, but being able to vote for who we we think will best represent us is a humbling concept, not many people in this world have that right.
It made me so happy to see a line of people at my polling place at 7:01. By 7:07 I was the 23rd person to vote, pretty amazing to see my neighbors also exercising their right to voice their choice!
also...going to do a better job at promoting my Monday link-up!
come join the Good.Random.Fun. each Monday, right here!

Too often the political ads have worn people down to the point of "just don't care so long as the commercials STOP!" or "what does it matter, my vote won't count anyways" (based on the overwhelming political one-sidedness of some states) - but I vote regardless and I hope my children appreciate this privilege and do the same.
I agree with Niki! I keep voting and hope to teach my daughter to think through the issues and make an educated decision.
Yes voting is a wonderful thing.
I had my niece with me and we voted!
I always enjoyed going to vote...here in Oregon we vote by mail and it's still important but it feels like something is missing. And it takes the excitement out of election day in a way.
Me too! I love election day!
Yes, the founders of our country did us proud for setting the boundaries of our rights and privileges. Great post.
I agree with the comments too. I voted. It is a right and a responsibility.
Voted ~ Got reminded in my Yoga class right near the polls ~ how cool is that? ^_^
Wishing you the best in the day,

I voted early. I hope everyone can work together now.
YES - I completely agree. We are big on following politics & I love that my kids are politically savvy. It's important for them to understand exactly what our votes mean & the consequences & rewards of them. We voted for the first time here in ID - paper, fill in the bubble ballot. That was a first since the first time I ever voted was in NV & they already had the machine. Great experience & I definitely feel privileged to have the right to do it.
Yay for the right to choose!
Absolutely its so important!
It is so important and many fought so we could. Nothing to squander!
