The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 2.4

The Good:
I never actually told my class that my birthday was this weekend, but somehow word got around and all day, I was showered with the sweetest cards and even the gift of a ruler. These kids are too sweet and started my birthday off in the cutest way!

The Random:
So, part random, part awesome. I'm sure you've heard of the scandal around the Patriots' possibly deflating footballs in the championship game...I'm an Eagles fan and think the Pats are full of hot air and known to cheat...but that aside...this totally happened on twitter Thursday night - I nearly died from geeking out so much!
The Fun:
It finally snowed! And the first real snowfall was on my birthday, mother nature knew what I wanted. Now tomorrow we're in for a blizzard and two feet - oh happy day!

@Nicole Bryce-Sharron This kid is a riot! He is one of my tough kids behavior wise and he had broken a ruler last week so he gave me a new one!!

Hey Tamar,
I am so glad your kids found you out. I bet they loved expressing their love and birthday wishes for you!
Husband is a school bus driver. He gets gift cards A Lot. The other day one was addressed to, "the best bus driver in the Universe!"
Kids are nothing if not enthusiastic.
Happy BD again from m & jb (who celebrates her birthday on the half year since she was somewhere around 6 months when we got her)

I'm glad someone likes winter weather. I love it when the sun comes out 30 seconds after blanketing our earth with fresh now--we get a beautiful sight, but I can go for a run without spikes.

I have heard more than enough about deflated footballs! Keep safe in the coming storm.

Happy belated birthday! (Mine was just over a week ago, too :) ) It must be nice to get that kind of awesomeness from your kids. And we have got snow as well. In fact more to come...

Did you see the SNL skit on "deflate-gate"? haha. Lovin' it as long as it has nuthin' to do with Philly :)

Kids bring a whole new perspective to even football controversy. Great job teaching and I hope this weekend ushered in 27 in all the best ways.

Sweet birthday greetings. As far as snow-be careful what you wish for, I guess.

Tamar, can I also say thanks for being a teacher? I couldn't do it. Looks like your children love you, and that is really special.

Be careful what you wish for when you blow out those candles! tee hee!! We're bracing for the snow too but not supposed to get nearly as much as you guys! I love Willie Geist How cool was that twitter exchange and yay for showing your Eagles pride! I'm so sick of the deflate gate thing! That card and bracelet/beaded gift tag are both so sweet!

I had to google Deflate-gate last week because it kept showing up on my feed and I had no clue what it was. I asked my husband about it (thinking he would be impressed I knew anything about it, since I'm not a sports person). He thought it was a load of poo, but he loves the patriots soooo.... I suppose he would think that. :) I remain neutral. In fact I cheer for the team on the field with the best color coordinated outfits. Yes, outfits. I have been corrected on that a few times. haha

Happy Belated, Tamar! May you get a lot of snow, as long as it doesn't come to my house (because hubby has a building project outside). I would avoid a blizzard, but heh whatever floats your boat is great:)

Hope you had a great birthday! So sweet of your students to treat you on your special day! I don't even watch the news and am so sick of hearing about deflated balls. There are so many more important things in this world to be concerned about. I hope you get to enjoy the snow that's coming your way!

Looks like you had an amazing birthday. Happy Birthday fellow aquarian ;0) So cool you got the first real snow of the year on your b-day too. I used to be able to say there will always be snow on my birthday but sadly not so much anymore.

Oh sigh...don't be hatin' on the Pats!! I've hated this whole thing. It just knocks the fun out of all of it. Hope it's a good game! And I promise I'll be back next week - I've really been laying pretty low trying to get my health back.
