Passover is off to a great start: good seders, good food, good company, not too much matzah, yet...
The Random:
April Fool's day was the last day of school before Passover Vacation. I may have had a little fun! I gave one group a "spelling test" that in the end spelled out "There really is no spelling quiz today tricked you happy April first" - they fell for it! Then I told them I had "brown e's" for them...they groaned at that one before I gave them real brownies!
The Fun:
The teachers won the Pillo Polo match! It was a riot to play and the kids got a kick out of seeing us (even the principal and vice principal!) in our work clothes and sneakers! I totally took a stick to the face and came away with a battle wound, so worth it though!

oh, you are good! I kinda suck at the whole April Fool's Day and mostly pretend it isn't a real thing. Mostly works! Enjoy the holiday.
I think it's great when teachers interact with students in sports or other nonacademic activities. It makes them appear more human and opens up avenues for the kids to be able to talk openly with them. Builds a good rapport. I bet the kids learn better from teachers like you.
Fun!! Hope you're enjoying your time off!
Wonderful photos, funny, really like The Good !!
What a great teacher to have some fun with the kid on April Fool's day...love the brown Es!
Brown "E"s....LOVE IT!
Brown E's very cute. I am glad that the teachers won the game. Enjoy your break!
The fake test - how funny! That's really good!
Great fun in that spelling whiz trick! WooHoo good work/fun for the teachers too.
Too bad you got injured, my friend. Yes, I don't particularly care for those kind of "brown E's", either. Yes, I think you have told me you don't do a purse. ♥renae at renae's repertoire.
Brown E's!!! I hope I remember that for next year!!
Your jokes are awesome! Would love to have seen their faces for both! Glad you had a wonderful Passover!
I had a moment I could finally join you this week! You are a riot and a great teacher, keep your smile for those children.
Oh my gosh, a stick to the face?! I hope you're o.k. Other than that it looks like you had a fun week.

I like the April Fools quiz! still got them spelling!
I've only been to one seder and loved it. And I love the brown e's. Tee hee

Glad you are enjoying Passover.
That would be fun to watch the teachers playing, to bad you got hurt but it sounds like you still had a great time.
Clever you with the Brown-e's! Hope you battle wound was not too uncomfortable:)

You are the best teacher ever! How fun!! Phew, I'm glad you guys one the match!!
You are such a fun teacher, Tamar! I hope you followed up your Brown E's with real brownies. Speaking of brownies, I really should make the kids some. You know, because we didn't get quite enough sugar yesterday on Easter!
My daughter gave me a brown E on April Fool's day! Now I know she learned it from a teacher!
Brown E's, hahaha! My friend's daughter also brought brown E's to school to give to her friends. :)
The Pillo Polo looks fun!
Fun post!
How long did it take for someone to put the quiz list of words together. That was cute.
Love your April Fools tricks! I'm not at all creative when it comes to that kind of thing. Glad you had a great holiday! And had fun with the kids!
Lovely shots, looks like fun :)
Looks like a great Passover celebration with a lot of amazing food.
