I finally made it to the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem last week. Nestled right in the heart of downtown Salem, it's a stunning museum with a great art collection.
So much natural light...swoon.
Reflective selfies in the art are a must.
They had an amazing mix of Chinese, Native American, Indian, and American artwork at every turn.
The special exhibit was the work and life of Thomas Hart Benton. His work was stunning. So bright and vivid and often influenced by current events and the works of Hollywood.A perfect summer afternoon outing. Highly recommend if in the Salem area!

I so love seeing all the cool places you visit - well captured my friend.
I used to live right down the street near the Salem Commons. I haven't been into the museum in years. It's a great place.
Wow, a stunning architectural feat! Since I lived for thirty years an hour from the city of Hollywood and even closer to Disney, I have seldom been impressed with works having to do with Hollywood. Do you know it used to be Holy Wood?
Looks like a fun outing! And very interesting artwork!
Thanks for the wonderful tour of the museum. Your reflective selfie was quite creative too.
