The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 28

The Good:
My cousin Lori was in town for a conference and we were able to grab dinner, so great to see her, it'd been too long!

The Random:
In grad school we had to do curriculum maps for everything. I haven't made one in ages, but this past week I did a summer institute working on a chunk of curriculum I needed to rewrite and going back to my maps helped me SO much. Putting the degree to good use.

The Fun:
Chris Colfer, from Glee, write books now. His latest came out this week and my local book shop was doing a signing. So I channeled my inner fan girl, stood in line for 2 hours, and got my copy autographed!

I did not realize until I read your post that I have never actually gone to a book signing! WHAT?!?! I have had books signed at events, but I've never gone to stand in a long line at a store for an actual signing. I feel like I'm not a real book lover now! :)

New item on the list to accomplish...

Isn't it wonderful to have a close cousin like that. I had one growing up but we are far apart now. Cherish those times together. Have a great week.

Chris Colfer sure can perform BUT...he needs some work on his penmanship! :). I was listening to him being interviewed on Sirius EW last week about his writing. What a multi talented man he is!

Wait, THAT is his signature? All that creativity and THAT is the best he could come up with. Girl, I could have saved you time in line and done a couple swirles. lol! Very talented young man and I miss the early Glee days (in part for the mesh-ups, in part for when my youngest thought it was 'da-bomb).

Hey Tamar!
Random thought-osity:
1. In close up pix you look very, very young. Wow. And very pretty.
2. Worth standing in line to support local book store.
3. His signature. R i i i g t t.... Although I must say people look at mine and exclaim, THAT'S your signature? Why, yes. Didn't you just see me write it? I have very fine printing, you see. And a scrawl of a sig from 30 years as an RN.
4. Aren't cousins great?
5. :) m & jb

Can't deny those family genes!I saw those books on display at B&N last week, and they caught my eye for the kiddos! We will give them a go!

Looks like he should have been a doctor or a minister...their handwriting is usually unique. You and your cousin share some traits for sure. Glad you had a good time together.

I can't believe how much the cousins look alike...you two could of been sisters! Happy Monday!

I've enjoyed hearing Chris interviewed about this book - very inspiring to see another aspect of his talent come to life! Speaking of inspiring, your work for your kiddos continues to really impress me!

Wow, two hours in line for an autographed book. I think I have spent two hours total in my last six autographed book sessions but it is very cool that you got it. Nice.

Don't know if my comment got through ...
The resemblance of you and your cousin is unmistaken! I don't think I have the patience of your inner girl:) Happy week!

I was never a big Glee fan. But it's great when you get to see someone you are a fan of! sounds like you had a great week.

How fun to go to a book signing. That has something I have never done. It's also nice when you can apply what you learned in school to real-life. It's wonderful to know the education actually pays off. Great work!
