Boston Public Library

Walk across the courtyard towards the library...
Up the stairwell into the hall of books...

{Librarian -- My Morning Jacket}

I went down to the Boston Public Library a few week ago. I had really never explored it before.

What a gorgeous space. The main reading room with its large windows and green reading lamps.

Marble columns and statues.

It's a great contrast to the new side of the library. A modern mecca for readers.

Thanks for introducing me to this tune! I often wonder if libraries will become outdated what with the internet...I hope not. Thanks for this wonderful pairing of Fotos and Tune. Have a fabulous week and please stop back again.

I love old libraries!! They can be so regal. That's one of the fun things about visiting college campuses--the new ones are pretty great too!

Gorgeous! Never been there! Been to the JFK library but not the public library. A total treasure!

Indeed, a gorgeous public library! So lovely aspects of architecture style in your pictures! and a very interesting song, as well. Thank you so much for sharing them with us! A good day and week, too!

It's hard to find a good library these days, looks pretty stately.

I used to live at the library when I was younger. Kids don't know what they are missing now days. I love the angle of the pics you took.
