The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 36

The Good:
The room is 99.9999% ready!! I am in love with it this year. Just cannot wait to get these kids in there and start the year!

The Random:
I read this classic Judy Bloom book in 4th grade - in 1998 it was a story from another era (just think about the feminine products Margaret used!). I saw this cover at school this week - not sure I like the new cover! This book was written in 1970, long before the advent of the cordless phone, let alone cell phones and texting!

The Fun:
I went for my first run with a running group on Tuesday. Man those people were FAST (the group leader said he'd run a 7:30....). I had a great time and had a great run with a nice person who ran with me at my pace!

That's crazy that they changed the cover of the book! Hard to believe it's not as popular as ever.

Your room looks great! Your kiddos are going to love it! I love Judy Bound, but I'm not digging that cover.

Your classroom looks so open and bright and like a very happy place! I don't think I like the new cover to that Judy Blume classic either. Keep on running!

I see you have your special seating in place and ready to go. Awesome! I agree that the book cover doesn't fit with the age of the story. What could they have been thinking? It really looks like they were trying to save money on ink. You'll have to let us know if they changed anything in the book too.

I read that book too - not sure how I feel about changing classics. I feel some things should be a representation of the time period in which they were created.

It's going to be a great school year!!!!!!

Love your classroom. Looks like a great place to learn and have fun.
I don't think I've ever read, Judy Blume.
Running is not something I could do but keep up the good work.
