Little Things: New Year

A new, sweet, year has begun!
I love the symbolism behind eating honey on Rosh HaShanah.

The notion that our year be filled with sweetness and joy. Happiness and blessings.

The past year was an interesting one to say the least. As I dipped my apples into flavorful and rich honeys, I envisioned the year that lays ahead of me.

I see and hope for a year where the good memories and times stick to me and linger!

Happy 5777!

Happy New Year to you!! I am not Jewish but grew up in Marblehead, where there is a large Jewish population. We had the Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur off from school every year and I thought every one did until I was an adult!

Oooh...I ❤ honey!! Next time you're here over the weekend, you have to visit the Marietta Square Farmers' Market. Home Town Honey is my absolute favorite and it's produced about 10 miles from my home!

I never realized there were so many types of honey, or is it called flavors of honey. Anyway, I think I need to try some of these. I do love making my own honey mustard dipping sauce. Better than any store bought I've found. I hope school is going well. Enjoy your day!

Lovely shots of this sweet celebration. Happy New Year! Can you explain the 5777 date? It's interesting to me to learn about the Jewish traditions.

That looks so incredibly good right about now. You have inspired me to finish the laundry and get a cup of tea with honey. Hope you had a promising holiday.

Happy 5777! I love all honey --all kinds. My favorite drink for the longest time now is iced green tea with honey.

That first honey sounds wonderful.

A friend of mine counted the seeds in a pomegranate once. There were not 613 :)
