In all my running while training for my half-marathon, I learned that I really cannot run on a full stomach. But, I also learned I needed fuel to be able to have a good run - especially when the mileage began to hit double digits.
So I whipped these up one weekend and they've been so great to pop in my mouth before heading out. Super simple ingredients. Clean natural fuel for your body. Easy to throw together and store. How can you go wrong?I used dates in these since I read that dates are a fantastic source of natural carbs for energizing your body. Peanut butter is of course a great source of protein and healthy-ish fat. Plus some coconut flakes and almond flour to boot.
These for sure have become my favorite energy bite that I've made - hope you enjoy them too!

Pretty much all my favorites! Yum!
Healthy, yummy, and simple ingredients! I may just have to try this myself!
those look very good and very easy to make.
Confession: I am not sure I've ever had a date {food-speaking, of course- HA!} and I don't know if I would like them! I worry about both the flavor and the texture, since I don't like raisins. What do they taste like?
Yum these sound so good!
These sound good, but I might skip the dates (or replace them with something else). Not a big fan of dates. Thanks for sharing!
Love this recipe Tamar! Always looking for new ways to use dates.

I love to use dates in all kinds of things...especially in salads or rice bowls.
Will have to try these - always looking for some new snack ideas!
Well, pretty much anything that has peanut butter in it is a good thing if you ask me. I will have to give those a try next time I'm in the mood for baking.
It sounds so tasty and healthy - pinned for future reference.
