A serious perk of all the running has been finding amazing gems right in my own backyard. I ran by this church this summer and knew I wanted to go back and explore the grounds.
It was so peaceful to jut wander around snapping photos. I almost felt transported in time and space, forgetting just a few miles away was the hustling and bustling city.I've always loved the stone masonry and architecture of churches. They seem so grounded. So rooted in nature. Timeless.

I love old churches also. They are so peaceful.
There's just something about churches (and other places of worship). I find them very peaceful and I love checking them out (where allowed) whenever I can.
A beautiful building with some wonderful features.
Stunning architecture. Old churches and old homes are among my favorites for such things. Those DOORS!!!!!

I love exploring old churches. So much history! The cemeteries and grave markers are always so interesting, too.
What a gorgeous church and site...You've captured it well.
Beautiful old church. Looks similiar to our churches here in Germany.
