2016. In the Books.

Good bye 2016. You were...quite the year...

2016.

2016 was quite the year.

Was it what I planned? nope.

But it was a year where I lived fully. I took the year by the reins and didn't let it take over.

This year had its share of loss, heartbreak, hardship, and hurt.

BUT

This year had so much more. It had joy, celebration, fun, new adventures, new connections, new opportunities, and so much living.

2016 saw me run 4 races: 5k, 4k, Half, and Spartan.

2016 was the year that I was published in the Huffington Post.

2016 was the year mom and I escaped to Bermuda for the most needed and amazing 4 days of relaxation.

2016 was the year I climbed mountains and conquered goals.

2016 was the year that I held my family close and savored every moment.

2016 was the year that kept giving...good, hard, everything in between.

As much as 2016 was hard...it was amazing. I stand on the cusp of 2017 a very different person than the one who started this most recent 365 day trip around the sun.

I am ready for 2017. Ready to say farewell to 2016. The year that was.

Bring it on 2017, let's see what you have in store. I'm more than ready.
