Gardens Aglow

It's the most wonderful time of the year...
And everyone telling you be of good cheer...
And hearts will be glowing...
It's the most wonderful time of the year!

{Andy Williams -- Most Wonderful Time of the Year}

My favorite part of the holiday season is all the lights. It is one slight downside to city living...I miss all the lit up houses in my old neighborhood in NJ!

I heard about a botanical garden down near the Cape that does a holiday light display and drove down to kick off the holiday season.

It was so pretty to see all the trees aglow. Hearing little kiddos and adults alike "ooo" and "ahh" over the lights just made my heart grow three sizes.

I wish we could leave the lights up all winter to brighten the darkest season and continue to spread cheer!

Tamar, I'm all aglow after seeing this colorful collection, thanks! Andy Williams and lights have always been a part of this season for me. Thanks for taking time to be here today and I hope to see you back again.

LOVE these. I need to take the kids to go see lights- been waiting for it to warm up out of the single digits though. I may have to just go do it before they are gone.

The lights are so pretty. I've been doing this thing - when it rains I just don't use my wipers at the light. Then I shoot a bunch of photos quickly at the windshield. There's so many reflections, and lights it turns out pretty cool. These photos remind me of those.

Love the lights at Christmas time. Brings smiles and how lovely for you to have witnessed these beauties!! PS I agree about leaving lights up all thru the winter.

I am totally with you - leave all lights on! Well, there's always that power issue - but through winter, for sure!
A post full of wonderful Christmas lights bokeh - thank you for the cheer.

I'm hoping to get back out there soon. Even my laptop touch pad is too cold to use today. I love all those cheery lights you found and agree about lighting being one of the best parts.

Lovely! It has been a good 25 years since I have spent a Christmas up north with my family. May have to change that! Love Christmas light. We plan to go to a special exhibit with Chinese lanterns that is touring around the states.
