Yesterday, I volunteered for Maimo's Yom Chesed. Close to 500 people volunteered at a variety of projects to help the local community. Shifra and I worked on a project preparing Chanukah bags for the Jewish food pantry to ensure all local families can celebrate the holiday!
The Random:
I mailed out my Christmas/holiday cards this week. With Chanukah stamps...conflict of holidays?
The Fun:
My kids love to learn cursive. I know it's a dying art...but they love our lessons on Friday. This week, we learned lowercase f. All of a sudden, I hear a kiddo singing..."I like big f's and I cannot lie" I nearly died laughing...how he knew the song and how to riff on it is beyond me!!

My boys' elementary school still does the cursive thing (which I love), but is apparently rare. Sad.

The good...this is what always made this country GREAT! The Random...diversity is what makes this country GREAT! The Fun...I just celebrated yet another birthday and I can't write cursive!
I can't even begin to express just how happy it makes me that you are teaching cursive. I feel it's still so important for so many reasons.
Love the holiday cards with the blend of holidays. I think that's the spirit of the season - bringing them together with a message of peace & love. :)
I was right in the middle of mentally congratulating you for teaching cursive when I started CRACKING UP over the song! That is GREAT!!!!
Some great stuff in this post! lol. I think that song is back because at least part of it is in the movie Sing...but it's the "oh my god, look at her butt" part that my kids are singing based on the promo!

I hope my grandkids will learn cursive writing in school! I think its valuable to learn how to read and write it. I am late in all things holiday--been having too much fun! Trying to catch up this week.

The holidays cards is funny, isn't it? I've been making a few Christmas cards and find it amusing to be sitting here in the sunshine making them. Love your big f's story :)
Cursive is a dying art. My first 2 boys learned it in school but by the time my third went through the system they quit teaching it. He can write his name but that's it and has a really hard time reading it which is sad. Great volunteer work and holiday cards. You rock!
I'm so happy to see that cursive is still being taught by some teachers! It IS a dying art. J won't use it, but Z does.
