Longwood Gardens

A stunning afternoon spent at Longwood Gardens. The gardens were in full bloom and just beyond gorgeous!
I can only imagine being a DuPont and being able to have called these grounds "home" - amazing indeed!

Such pretty flowers!

I noticed that many of the posts on the blogosphere lately have been about blooms and flowers and such (including mine).... Guess it's that time of the year!

...a beautiful place, back in the '60s I was going to do my masters there through the University of Delaware.

So very pretty. I had the pleasure of visiting these gardens many years ago. - If you aren't familiar with Debbie's blog (It's All About Purple) do check out her posts on Longwood Gardens.

Lovely flowers and what great scenery! What a great place to call 'home'! But, I guess they have somebody to dig in the dirt for them, too!
