Common Threads
Recently, the Gardner Museum had a very cool exhibit on the history of textiles and how they bind us together. One of the very interesting pieces was called "The Mending Project" and was spools of thread on the wall that were being used to mend actual items people brought to the exhibit.
It was fascinating to see the spools and how the strands came together at the mender's bench. A show of colors and lines!
