I love me some holiday lights. This year, even more so, as they are a bright - almost normal - spot in our tumultuous 2020. I kicked off my tour de lights 2020 at the NYBG's Glow. The conservatory and other parts of the grounds washed in colorful lights and displays. So pretty and so festive!
There was ice sculpting, light sculptures, and we were serenaded by steel drums playing holiday classics as we walked through the illuminated orbs. A perfect winter's night activity in 2020 - dare I say, it felt normal?

I've only been to NYBG once (in summer) but I really need to get back there in other seasons and see what else they have to offer. Once we can travel again, it's on my list!
I can't resist taking blurry light photos!
So pretty!! I need to get out to see more displays this year!
That is so lovely - we do a similar thing each year. Going the day after school finishes.
What beautiful lights. Very nice.
Let there be lots more lights in the darkness this year. Love the array you have shared. Take care and enjoy your week.
Ohhhhhh I love this! We haven't been through any light displays yet, but this makes me SO HAPPY!!!
That's lovely! Lights are so uplifting. More and more neighbours are putting up Christmas lights to my delight. I'm going to a COVID-friendly Christmas light display that you drive through, and I can't wait.
Love the lights. And here's to normal...
