Random-osity: Ready or Not....Back to School!

*update - Westchester was hit hard by Hurricane Ida last night (10+ inches in hours) and we are now opening tomorrow because so many areas are flooded out. Never a dull moment!

Today is the day...the first school day of the 2021 - 2022 school year! In some ways. it's day and night from how we started a year ago. When we wrapped in June we hoped to start the year in a less-COVIDy place, but Delta had other plans and we're still working hard to protect our students. Nevertheless, school will look more like school, but with measures to keep us all safe in place.

It's also surreal to begin year 2 at WDS (school-day-wise, contract wise that milestone passed!). While so much is unknown and still very stressful, at least I am no longer the new admin. I know the staff, I know the kids, I know the general gist of things. Hoping to ride that confidence and take the waves of uncertainty that will surely arise in this crazy world. Here is to a safe, healthy, fun school year!
