2021.

2021. In so many ways this year felt like a rinse and repeat of 2020, but in so many other ways it was a spectacular year despite the upheaval. It was actually hard to pick one photo for each month. Adventures returned. Challenges were handled. Fun was had. Chapters were written. Family was reunited.

January:
vaccine dose number 1...turned 33...Biden takes office
February:
snowy weather...vaccine dose 2...purim
March:
time in the city...Passover for 2...got my Peloton
April:
orchid show...kusama...Brooklyn Botanic Garden
May:
Kaws...lots of NYC time...seeing Boston friends finally
June:
school year wrapped up...loads more NYC time...Avi turned 40
July:
the return of fireworks...3 weeks in Oregon...1 year in NY
August:
back to work...infinity room...and loads more city time
Septemeber:
rosh hashana services (in person!)...back to school...banksy exhibit
October:
the blaze...apple picking...pumpkins galore
November:
return to running, exploring DUMBO...eclipse
December:
chanukah...festive fun...train show

Sometimes, it is easy to feel like so much was still being taken from us this past year. But, I'd rather see it that we thrived. That is not to say there weren't hard moments and dark times. There were. But there were more moments of happiness, joy, and adventure.

What will 2022 bring? Who knows, but I carry a lot of amazing memories from 2021 with me into this new year, that is for sure!

Happy new year!
