The Good:
It's chestnut season!! I love getting these from the food carts in the city this time of year, so festive and tasty.
The Random:
I was giving a 2nd grader a quick reading assessment and I had to chuckle at the subject of the passage. Surprisingly, she knew what a payphone was!
The Fun:
Did you know you can go curling in Bryant Park?

...I have heard of chestnuts roasting on an open fire, but I've never had them.
You know, I've never actually had roasted chestnuts. I'm not even sure I've ever seen them around to try them.
Gabbie's friends in Canada play on a curling team!
I must admit I have never had a chestnut. I see the carts selling them but never thought to give them a try.
Thank you for showing us around the wonderful town, Tamar
I went curling for the first time this year - good fun!
We don't have chestnuts as a norm here in this part of Australia Tamar.
The target sign is scattered with slipers?
1. I have never had chestnuts. 2. I'm impressed she knew what a pay phone was! 3. I still don't understand curling.
Too funny about the pay-phone passage. "In the old days . . ." LOL! Someday I will try chestnuts. They look good.
I watched curling with fascination during the Olypmics. Our Australian team did well despite us not being a curling nation.
I can’t remember the last time I had roasted chestnuts! It was probably from a cart in the city a lifetime ago! So delicious. That pay phone passage is priceless! I am not sure if my kids know what a pay phone is. They didn’t know what a chalkboard was a few years ago!

I didn't know you could curl in Bryant Park!! Chestnuts always smell so good when they are roasting but I've never tried them!
