The Good:
We had a fantastic surprise at school on Monday - Matt the Turkey showed back up after a 3.5-week absence! We kinda assumed the worst, but it turns out he went out and found 4 girlfriends. He and his new family are camping out on the lower fields and our little guy is all grown up strutting around... (and yes it's 100% him he comes when he's called and we can't forget that little head and beady eyes!)
I ran into one of the local bakeries to get a cake for someone's birthday at work and had a good chuckle at the "Happy Passover" banner over the display case of very not kosher for Passover treats. The better irony is that the bakery is kosher!
The Fun:
March Madness Book Edition year 3 was another awesome success! We had a new winner this year, too!

The chook appears rather restless and confused in the photo.
...life is filled with irony!
I love that you do March Madness with books. Such a fun thing! And glad that Matt the Turkey has returned. :)
Glad to hear that Matt is back!
Glad to see Matt the Turkey is OK!
A kosher bakery is a gem.
I love that March Madness was a book-a-thon!!
I think that is hilarious that Matt comes when you call him! LOL. We have a few turkey families around here and it's fun to watch the babies get bigger and bigger.
I think you March book-a-thon always sounds so fun. We LOVED the Weird School books so much.
Happy Passover to you. I olve that book challenge - that's great!
Yay Matt is back and brought a posse! That is ironic about the bakery.
Matt! Four girlfriends!?!?!!?!? LOL!!! :)
I am not sure Ryan would love a book themed March Madness, but he did win the employee bracket at work and was excited about that!
It's cute that you all have a pet turkey. I just hope he stays sweet and nice. The one's around our campus are very aggressive and sometimes need to be relocated after chasing people on foot, bikes and even in cars by attacking tires. They are the worst now as it's mating season and need to protect their ladies ;0) So ironic about the Passover non-Kosher treats from a Kosher bakery.
