School was hopping with excitement this week. It was the week of the play and it was all hands on deck. We saw the official dress rehersal (which I took pics for) and the kids did a great job! They put on "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" - even more amazing is they performed it in both Hebrew and English! We also celebrated Rosh Chodesh and Pi Day - plus the normal goings on of teaching. We've only a week to go before Passover break, and I think we are all ready!
Other than that - it was nice to have had some more mild temps for a few days (as in 48 degrees). I also got a tweet back from the one and only Joe Scarborough. He put out a tweet on twitter asking what the best part of our day had been. This had been a very hard day, but a parent had thanked me for helping her child thrive - so I sent him that. He responded, thanking me for my service! Um, wow!
Friday night at shul, there was a dinner and performance by Yale's improv comedy troupe - they were hilarious and it was a much needed way to end my insane week!
Highlight of the week: having Joe Scarborough thank me (via twitter) for my service as an educator!
Favorite teaching moment: hearing a student proclaim that he was excited for our DEAR time (drop everything and read). Nothing warms the heart like a child wanting to read!
Random-osity: mercury is apparently in retrograde...I really have no idea what it means, but I am using it to explain how insane this week was!
